Pkr Review
PKR Poker
PKR Poker is brand new on the scene of online poker rooms, and it is also the first true 3D poker room available on the Internet. With PKR’s software, you will get the closest experience to playing in a real live casino with real live people, without actually having to be there. The 3D graphics aren’t exactly beautiful, but they aren’t horrendous either, and they are a great, unique feature, which couple with a couple other unique PKR features, make PKR Poker an intriguing online poker website to play at.
First off, your “avatar” or online representation is completely customizable, and completely 3D. This means that you can make an exact 3D representation of yourself, if you choose, to, or you can have your online poker playing self look completely different than you do in real life, which really is quite fun. You’ll be able to choose every aspect of your avatar from voice, to hats, to shirts, to body piercings. Basically everything you could describe yourself with, they have included as an option for your avatar. You can even earn PKR points through playing and use them to buy extra clothes or accessories, which wouldn’t be regularly available to choose from.
While you are at the table, you’ll be able to use an emote control, which will cause your avatar to cry, clap, or express some other type of emotion. The more you play, the more PKR points you will earn, which you can use to unlock the above mentioned clothing or accessories, or you can use them to buy tricks for your avatar to use, which basically equate to showing an opposite emotion to fool your opponent, or putting on a “poker face”.
PKR Poker, an independent online poker room, has great traffic considering it isn’t part of any network or any type of player feeder programs. You will be able to see about 7,000 players online during peak hours, which is about the average traffic for the higher tier of online poker websites.
Apart from the neat 3D avatar features, PKR Poker doesn’t really offer anything else that other, 2D poker rooms offer. In terms of game selection, it has Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha Hi/Low and Omaha. There are also the standard three types of limits, pot limit, no limit, and limit. Limited tables start at $.01 or $.02, and are capped at $100 or $200. Non limited games start at $.01 or $.02 and are capped at $5 or $10. Each pf the three games are also available in either 10 player ring games or short handed games with a maximum of six players. Overall, this is all pretty standard stuff. The multi-game Sit ‘N Go tournaments are fun, but again, every other online poker website seems to have them as well, so nothing new on that front either. The one thing in terms of game selection that is new and refreshing are the 10 freeroll tournaments available each day. Freerollers such as myself definitely love that feature.
